Part of our commitment to our clients is to make you aware of changes and new developments that can affect your business. The current and most significant is the PCI Compliance deadline for Level 4 merchants of July 1, 2010. This means ALL merchants that process, store, or transmit credit card information, must be PCI compliant and use ‘validated payment application’ software.

AbeCommerce 7 is both PCI Compliant AND Certified. By certified, that means it has been qualified and accepted as a ‘validated payment application’ by the PCI Security Standards Council. Because AbleCommerce 7 is one of only a handful of PCI certified eCommerce shopping carts, we expect a number of companies to migrate to AbleCommerce from their current shopping cart software. We’ve already been seeing this. Furthermore, all companies that are currently using the legacy AbleCommerce 5.5 or older versions will need to upgrade to AC7.

Bottom Line – If your software is not PCI Compliant, DON’T WAIT!! We are usually booked in advance and, especially this year, expect a significant increase as we move closer to the deadline. Contact us ASAP for a free consultation.
